Our VPK Program

DAS offers a project-based learning environment for our Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) program.

VPK hours are Monday-Friday 8 am to 11:20 am. We offer Wrap Around Care from 11:30 am to 3 pm Monday-Thursday and 11:30 am to 2 pm Friday for a fee of $360.00 per month. Wrap Around Care is a continuation of educational activities with additional learning opportunities.

DAS is a contracted school for Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program or VPK, a free educational program that prepares 4-year-olds for kindergarten and beyond.

Faith Development – Students develop their faith while learning & practicing prayers.
Fine and Gross Motor Skills – Opportunities abound to develop and explore new skills including writing, cutting, coloring, play and more.
Pre-Reading and Readiness Skills – Counting, letter recognition and sounds are all learned while students take turns, listen and share.
Language Skills – Students learn in a variety of ways including books, speakers, field trips, technology, show & tell and imaginative play.
Music, Art & Technology – Students explore and build their emerging skills in all areas.

Our VPK Program Accreditation

We are pleased to announce the ACTS Accreditation Committee has voted to grant Gold Seal Accreditation to Deltona Adventist School through the co-accreditation agreement with ACTS and AAA. This means DAS has gone above the required minimum licensing standards to become accredited by recognized agencies whose standard reflect quality in the level of care and supervision provided to children.

Voluntary Prekindergarten Program

DAS is a contracted school for Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program or VPK, a free educational program that prepares 4-year-olds for kindergarten and beyond.

Children must live in Florida and be 4 on or before September 1 of the school year they enroll. The Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia County provides resources and pays for this free service. VPK is available to all Florida 4-year-olds and even some 5-year-olds. To learn more visit:
